Villa and Zapata : A History of the Mexican Revolution
by Frank McLynn

This is one of the best books that we have found which serves to tell the story of the Mexican Revolution in a continuous and easy to read fashion. It takes a very complicated story and tells in such a way that is much less bewildering than a lot of other accounts.

"The Truth & Lies of 9-11" The tape that is quietly taking the country by storm. More than 3500 copies sold since February 1 with no advertising. Special appearances by Reps. Cynthia McKinney, Ron Paul and Barbara Lee. Documents showing U.S. foreknowledge of 9-11 attacks. The war for oil and drug money.

Mike Ruppert, the former LA policeman who has made a career of exposing the connection between the US government and the illegal drug business, is a modern legend, and leads the charge in showing the involvement of the George W. Bush administration in actually masterminding the attack on the WTC for the sake of corporate profits.

El Che: Investigating A Legend (1998) (VHS)

This is from a reader review: Before watching this film, I knew little about Che aside from the fact that he was a radical icon. Now I see why. Not only to we learn a lot about Che, but we hear him for ourselves-and how eloquent he was! His split with Castro and the Russians is seldom ever discussed and this film should help people understand that the only real ideology that Che was dedicated to was Latin American independence. "Viva Santo Ernesto!"

Stupid White Men ...and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation!
by Michael Moore

A reader review: Wow! Michael's done it again! This book hits the nail on the head or maybe prunes the Bush would be a better phrase. As usual, Michael has done his homework, researched and re-researched to bring us reporting worth reading. Whether you're right of, left of or dead center, this is a must-read book if you're at all concerned, truly concerned about our country and its future. If you're a shallow flag-waving jingoist, this isn't for you but if you're a thinking, sensitive concerned American citizen (one who votes-or intends to)this is a must-read. Keep it up Michael, we need guys like you!

A Place Called Chiapas - Dubbed in Spanish - English subtitles (VHS)

A viewer reader review: This film serves as an excellent presentation in summarizing the Chiapas plight. While it has been criticized, which I don't believe is justified, Wild and team weaves factual events - regardless of your viewpoint - to provide a unique perspective. Chiapas is closer than you think and while Mexico shares in this predicament, it is a real problem as oppressed people eventually gain the courage to say Basta!!!

LA Malinche in Mexican Literature: From History to Myth (Texas Pan American Series)
by Sandra Messinger Cypess, Sandra M. Cypress

Explodes the "Black Legend" of La Malinche for what it is - misogynist propaganda designed to place the blame on a woman for the things done by men. An eye opener. A very important book.
